Lane reductions on Hwy 169 start April 10

Hwy 169 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 5th St. – Lincoln Drive exit and I-394 starting at 5 a.m. Monday, April 10. The lane reduction is needed as crews resurface the road on Hwy 169, replace guardrail, lengthen the acceleration/deceleration lanes at Cedar Lake Road, and other miscellaneous road improvements.

The lane reductions will remain in place through October.

See the interactive map on the project website for a current map of road/ramp closures and to navigate to a specific area of the project to learn more about it. The website also has a PDF version of the same map available.

The Nine Mile Creek Bridge on Hwy 169 remains closed between Bren Road and 5th Street – Lincoln Drive exit as crews rebuild the bridge.

Motorists are advised to follow the detours to bypass the bridge closure and lane reduction on Hwy 169:

  • Northbound detour: EB Hwy 62, NB Hwy 100, WB I-394 to Hwy 169
  • Southbound detour: WB I-394, SB I-494 to Hwy 169

The work is expected to last through Oct. 2017, weather permitting.
