We have exciting news for you! The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will launch a new EagleCam in 2024. Located at the nest of a new breeding pair, this new camera was installed after searching for an ideal spot. It will launch on Give to the Max Day, November 21. Give to the Max Day is the day to donate to non-profit causes that mean the most to you.

The original EagleCam will also go live again on November 21. Like last year, it remains in the territory of the previously featured pair, rotating through various views of their habitat where they can still be seen visiting occasionally. We are aware that the previous eagle pair built a nest near this territory and did raise two chicks in 2024. We explored the possibility of installing a camera at their new location but reaching that nest with electricity just wasn't possible. While this may be disappointing, we believe the new eagles will capture your attention!

Watch the new EagleCam to witness the new pair’s story unfold, see highlights from camera install day, and read about the new nest site here.

The two cameras help bring awareness to the DNR's Nongame Wildlife Program. This is the program that helped to bring the bald eagle, trumpeter swan, peregrine falcon and other endangered species back from the verge of extinction. With the support of your generous donations, the Nongame Wildlife Program continues to lead conservation for the future of Minnesota's rare and vulnerable wildlife.

We deeply appreciate all the support we have received during this transition. Your donations helped us purchase and install this new camera. Thank you!
