State Drought Task Force Informational Webinar - March 29, 10:00 AM

State Drought Task Force Participant,

Nearly all of Minnesota is experiencing drought conditions. The driest autumn in Minnesota's modern climate record has been followed by a snow-sparse winter. On March 29 at 10:00 AM, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will host a Webinar (online meeting) for members of the State Drought Task Force. You have been identified as a possible attendee. The purpose of the Webinar is to update members on the latest drought situation and to facilitate the sharing of information among drought-sensitive agencies, institutions, organizations, and industries.

We will develop an agenda based on the feedback from Task Force participants. Proposed agenda items include:

- Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
Report on hydrologic conditions for state indicator lakes and groundwater levels, provide a state stream flow report, a climate overview, 11-county metro groundwater conditions plus groundwater and surface water areas of concern (White Bear Lake, Bonanza Valley, Little Rock Creek)
- U.S. Geological Survey
Report on stream flow conditions in a historical context
- National Weather Service
Discuss low flow probability outlooks at select river locations
