Lake Bronson State Park

Located in the far northwest corner of Minnesota, Lake Bronson State Park provides an oasis within the expansive prairie.  Here the Two Rivers were dammed to create a reservoir that allows visitors opportunities for fishing, boating and swimming.  The park provides rental boats, motors, canoes and kayaks.  Visitors at Lake Bronson State Park enjoy the unique experience of camping on the prairie.

The List - Parks with Swimming Beaches

Lake Bronson is not the only state park with a swimming beach.  As the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes, Minnesota is blanketed with great places to hit the water during the hot summer months.  Scout out a swimming hole at one of your favorite state parks. Buffalo River and Flandrau State Parks have beaches with life guards!

Game Time - I Can Paddle!

As part of the Minnesota State Parks and Trails "I Can!" series, many sites offer I Can Paddle! programs to introduce families to water recreation such as canoeing and kayaking. These programs are designed especially for first-time paddlers, no experience necessary, and take place on both lakes and rivers within state parks and along state water trails. Check out the I Can Paddle! site for more information.
