Work Comp Campus EDI changes XML formats next year
On Feb. 9, 2023, the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) Work Comp Campus will update the electronic data interchange (EDI) program to adopt the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) Claims Release Standard Version 3.1.5 (R3.1) XML format.
The change will retire the ACORD XML format and mandate that all trading partners reporting EDI will use only the IAIABC XML format. The change will not affect eform trading partners. Testing is tentatively planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.
How to prepare
Stakeholders should prepare for sending EDI in the new XML format by working with their EDI vendor or contacting DLI directly to plan testing in the fourth quarter of 2022. More information and the new trading partner tables are available on the DLI website.
