NAGLO Conference canceled, virtual meetings begin May 19

Dear NAGLO members:

Our NAGLO Executive Board has canceled the in-person 2021 NAGLO Conference event that was scheduled for July 2021. We explored an October 2021 in-person conference, but it didn’t work out.

Our annual conference will be rescheduled to an in-person conference July 17 through 21, 2022, in National Harbor, Maryland/Washington, D.C.

Join us for NAGLO’s virtual meetings for members

To allow us to stay connected through this unprecedented time, NAGLO is excited to offer free virtual meetings for members with updates from the U.S. Department of Labor and other government leaders.

Your NAGLO membership will allow you or your labor designee to access our virtual meetings at noon (Central Time) on May 19, June 16 and July 21.

Each virtual meeting will allow state labor officials to hear about and share new approaches to common problems, stay informed about developments in Washington, D.C., and help members establish a nationwide network of contacts with their peers.

May 19 NAGLO virtual meeting -- noon to 1 p.m. (Central Time)

I hope you can join us on May 19. Contact me with any questions at matt.helminiak@maryland.gov.

Sincerely,

Matt Helminiak
NAGLO president
Commissioner of Labor and Industry
Maryland Department of Labor

About NAGLO

The National Association of Government Labor Officials (NAGLO) is a bipartisan association of the commissioners, directors and secretaries of labor for each state and territory of the United States.

One of NAGLO's main goals is to open lines of communication across state lines to provide the state labor commissioners with the opportunity to meet and speak with their peers across the country.

NAGLO also represents the states at the federal level through working with the federal Department of Labor on various labor policy issues that would have an impact on state labor regulations or laws.

NAGLO is composed of leaders from every state and territory of the United States responsible for overseeing various laws surrounding the workplace.
