Multiple agencies in Minnesota oversee labor standards requirements. The Department of Labor and Industry's (DLI's) Labor Standards oversees the Minnesota Fair Labor Standards Act, Child Labor Standards Act, Women's Economic Security Act and the new Wage Theft Prevention Act, among other state employment laws.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division oversees the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), child labor laws, the Davis-Bacon Act and other federal employment laws.

Minnesota Attorney General's Office
The new Wage Theft Prevention Act increased the oversight and enforcement abilities of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office for labor standards laws. The Attorney General's Office has added dedicated staff members to work on these issues.

Saint Paul, Labor Standards Enforcement and Education Division
Saint Paul's Labor Standards Enforcement and Education Division, within its Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Department, oversees the city's ordinances for minimum wage and earned sick and safe time.
