**This eUpdate shares information about the Gaps Analysis process current activities and opportunities.**

Regional workshop updates

We have been busy working to keep participants engaged and to share back all that happened at the workshops.

Follow-up survey completed

Thank you to all regional workshop participants who completed the action planning follow-up survey. This survey was sent out by Wilder Research in February. This survey requested feedback about actions taken since the regional workshops were completed. From the survey, we learned:

  • 40% of responders had shared action plan/steps with organization leadership or colleagues to get buy-in or support
  • 25% had connected with those met at the regional workshops, or other stakeholder(s) like state agencies, regional groups, and service providers
  • 35% stated that no action has been taken
  • Nearly 25% felt identification of resources (like data, funding sources, information, etc.) and a champion to move action plan forward would be useful; about half felt no assistance from DHS was needed

Summaries

The regional summaries are now posted on our website. Visit the “Regional Workshops” section of the DHS Gaps Analysis website to view the reports. The statewide summary will be posted on the website in June.

Action planning at DHS

At DHS, we too are sharing the action plans with our leaders, other state agencies, and stakeholders. We are connecting the action plan ideas to existing statewide efforts and their stakeholders and creating a work plan that moves forward each set of action plans. This approach is already underway for all 29 action plans focused on transportation. The same approach will be applied to the 58 remaining action plans for the other three service access areas: crisis services, housing, and workforce shortages.

DHS is committed to providing technical assistance, grant opportunities, and assisting with forming regional partnerships to other stakeholders doing similar work. How we are doing will be shared via regular e-updates and direct email communication with action teams.
