Post-conference wrap-up

The 2019 Odyssey Conference was a success! The conference committee, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), and the Minnesota Board on Aging (MBA) were pleased to welcome over 1700 attendees, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center on July 31 and August 1, 2019. The 2019 event included 128 different concurrent sessions to choose from, and two general sessions with performances from New Native Theatre and Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts. In the two exhibit halls, attendees were able to visit 80 vendor booths, view 139 ePosters about innovative efforts by DHS and MBA grantees, experience assistive technology in a home setting, and take in the They/Them special exhibit.

Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, or exhibited. We hope to see you at the 2021 Odyssey conference.

Post-conference survey

Fill out the post-conference survey by September 23, 2019. As we look ahead to 2021, your input about what went well, what you value, and what you’d like to see improved is essential to making this event even better.

CEUs

For those looking for CEUs, certificates of attendance are available the Odyssey conference website through January 31, 2020. Three boards have approved CEUs for the 2019 conference: Minnesota Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators, Psychology and Social Work.

Coming soon: DHS/MBA Odyssey presentations

DHS/MBA Odyssey presentations will be posted on the Odyssey website by the end of August. We will not be posting Odyssey presentations given by any other organizations or individuals. If you are interested in receiving materials from a non-DHS/MBA Odyssey presentation, contact the presenter directly using the conference attendee list. An announcement will be made once the DHS/MBA Odyssey presentations are posted.

More to come

Remember to keep the Odyssey website bookmarked as we will be adding additional videos and pictures from the 2019 conference.
