Full conference program now available!

The 2017 Age & Disabilities Odyssey conference program includes over 125 sessions, including two general sessions, 12 pre-conference intensives, 94 workshops, 16 nugget sessions, and 8 roundtable discussions.  The Conference Quick Guide (PDF) lists all the titles of all sessions by day and time. Use this guide to plan your day. Or maybe you are simply looking for a short version of the conference agenda.  If yes, check out the Schedule-at-a-glance.

Opening keynote and awards recognition general sessions

Two general sessions, the opening session (which includes lunch!) and the awards recognition tea, will help you learn how to tell more effective stories and survive change with humor and laughter.  Read more about the opening keynote speaker, Dr. Jenn Nichols, and the awards recognition presenter, Lois McElravy.

Concurrent sessions: Nuggets and Workshops

Concurrent sessions are held on both days and include both 25-minute nugget sessions and 75-minute workshops. Everyone knows what a workshop session is, but what is a Nugget session?  Nugget sessions are:

  • Short 25-minute sessions
  • Presented twice during a 75-minute concurrent session period
  • Held in one of four tents located in the two exhibit halls

Each nugget session will be presented during the first and last 25 minutes of the current session period. See the conference quick guide for nuggets to read up on these 16 sessions. And yes there also are quick guides listing the 94 workshop sessions: day one workshop sessions and day two workshop sessions.
