Grant available to establish microgrants for people with disabilities

DHS seeks proposals from qualified respondents to a request for proposal (RFP) about microgrants for people with disabilities. This program will empower people with disabilities who receive Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) in Minnesota to achieve their personal goals for:

  • Integrated, competitive employment
  • Living in the most integrated settings
  • Increased community integration.

This request is part of a larger DHS effort to find innovative solutions to achieve outcomes for people with disabilities.  This is the second opportunity for innovation grant funds this year, one more request will come out later this year.

The RFP on microgrants is posted on the DHS grants and RFPs page. DHS must receive proposals for the RFP no later than 4 p.m., Central Time, Monday, Nov. 7, 2016. DHS will not consider late proposals.

If you have questions about this RFP, you must submit them in writing before 4 p.m. Central Time, Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, to Jennifer Strei.  This is the only person designated to answer questions about this request.

You can submit questions three ways:

  • Fax: 651-431-7563
  • Mail: Disability Services Division, Department of Human Services, P.O. Box 64967, St. Paul, MN 55164-0967.
