DEED is providing a $1 million forgivable loan from its Minnesota Investment Fund and potentially other funding for an expansion project by Olympus Surgical Technologies America that could eventually employ up to 350 people in Brooklyn Park.

The Twin Cities ranked seventh in the American City Business Journals' October index of top-performing metropolitan economies in the country, jumping 48 spots from the same month a year earlier.
Minnesota Chosen for NGA Program
Minnesota was among three states and one U.S. territory that were selected by the National Governors Association to participate in a program to encourage growth of their clean energy industries. Arizona, Mississippi and Puerto Rico were also chosen for the program.
DEED Awards Job-Training Grant
