The State Rapid Response Team (SRRT) received a Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, 29 U.S.C. § 2101 et seq. ("WARN") email from SMBC MANUBANK, informing us of the permanent layoff of 2 remote workers in Minnesota.
According to the WARN notice, SMBC MANUBANK has made the decision to wind down and close its digital banking unit, JeniusBank. As a result, all affected employees are expected to have their last day of work on or around October 9, 2026. The impacted workforce consists of employees who worked remotely from various locations throughout the United States.
Employees are not represented by a union. There are no bumping rights.
