Hello VRS Community Partners and stakeholders!
Going forward, VRS will return to the standard practice of ending Pre-ETS authorizations based on the quarterly schedule of March 31st, June 30th, September 30th and December 31st.
VRS will no longer extend the end dates when hours remain on a Pre-ETS authorization. If hours remain on Pre-ETS authorizations ending on December 31st, these will not be extended. Instead, a new Pre-ETS authorization will need to be created for January 1st through March 31st, 2025 and each quarter thereafter.
As always, we ask you to work closely with VRS staff to cancel any unused balances on authorizations.
Thank you for thoughtfully considering the number of hours requested for each service authorization. VRS needs to be as accurate as possible when creating an authorization for service hours.
Please bill us as soon as possible once the services you’re providing are completed.

The Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) Division of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) comprises the public Vocational Rehabilitation program, the Minnesota Extended Employment program, Independent Living services, Individual Placement and Supports grants, and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing grants.
The DEED-VRS Community Partner and Stakeholder listserv is the communication platform for current VRS Community Partners, potential VRS Community Partners, and other interested stakeholders in Minnesota’s disability employment services system. We encourage you to subscribe if you are an interested stakeholder in Minnesota’s disability employment services system.
