State of Minnesota Trade Mission to the Netherlands and Ireland
November 16 - 22, 2024
Governor Walz will lead a trade mission to the Netherlands and Ireland from November 16-22, 2024. The delegation will travel to the major business centers of Amsterdam and Dublin, with mission goals of growing the state's exports of goods and services, showcasing Minnesota as a top destination for business investment, developing new partnership opportunities, and strengthening existing ties. This will be the first Minnesota Governor-led trade mission to these two countries. The Minnesota Trade Office is organizing the mission and accepting applications through August 30, 2024.
The Netherlands and Ireland both offer ideal markets for companies seeking to expand sales and distribution of products and services in Europe.
The business delegation will include four tracks:
- MedTech and Health
- CleanTech and Environmental Technologies
- Agriculture and Food
- Higher Education
Delegates will attend joint events such as receptions, as well as track-specific events, including industry briefings, site visits and networking events with targeted companies and leaders in each city.

Start Your Own Business: Import-Export Between Minnesota & Ukraine
The Minnesota Trade Office (MTO) has created a classroom course titled "Start Your Own Business: Import-Export Between Minnesota & Ukraine" for Ukrainian refugees that are new to Minnesota and would like to learn more about starting an import-export business. This course will focus on exporting products or services to the Central & Eastern European regions.
When & Where
This course has been split into three separate sessions during September of 2024. Classes will run on Wednesdays from September 4 through September 18, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Ukrainian American Community Center in Minneapolis, MN.
**Presentations will be delivered in English and Ukrainian.**
