Veterans Career Fair - May 3

Wednesday, May 3 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. In person event at the Herative Center of Brooklyn Center 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center 55430

  • Over 100 veteran-friendly employers on-site at Veterans Career Fair
  • Have your resume reviewed and brush up on your interviewing skills with a mock interview
  • Service providers offering assistance for veterans and their families
  • There is no cost to attend and registration is not required
  • Job seeker attendees are eligible to register for one of 50 Minnesota DNR gift cards ($100 value each) which can be used to purchase MN DNR park fees, camping, or gifts

  • Employers at Minneapolis St Paul (MSP) Airport are hiring in aviation support (cabin cleaners, baggage handlers, wheelchair assistance), maintenance, airline (attendants, ticketing), food & beverage and hospitality positions, and retail.
  • Many of the employers at MSP hire at very competitive wages and offer full benefits, generous sign-on bonuses, and paid parking or public transportation.

Renting rights

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Development Board. Our programs:

Career Pathways Trainings offer job seekers free or low-cost, accelerated trainings that prepare them for careers in high demand job sectors including Healthcare, IT, Public Safety and the Trades.

Minneapolis Works - Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.

Career Works - Employment and training services to eligible adults 18 and over who are looking to gain skills and employment in healthcare, IT, manufacturing, construction or administrative services.

Minneapolis Youth Works - Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.

Dislocated Worker Program - Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
