Minnesota employers reported 146,513 job vacancies in the second quarter of 2019, the highest total on record and an indication that the state’s labor market remains tight, according to figures released today by DEED.
DEED today announced $3.6 million in awards from the Job Creation Fund for business expansions in five Minnesota communities. The awards are expected to generate more than 400 jobs over the next three years.
Manufacturing is a dynamic industry, and it’s crucial to the strength of our economic well-being. In recognition of the industry and over 8,400 manufacturers making a wide range of products, Governor Tim Walz has proclaimed Oct. 1-7, 2019 as Minnesota Manufacturing Week.
