Updates From DEED
Ten new members of the Launch Minnesota board – all with unique technology and entrepreneurship backgrounds – have been announced. Launch Minnesota is a new statewide collaboration to support technology startups. Beyond providing incentives, Launch Minnesota seeks to create a stronger network of innovators – and to tell the story of our startup growth to the rest of the country and the world.
Sales of Minnesota agriculture, mining and manufacturing exports from Minnesota fell 4% between the second quarters of 2018 and 2019 to $5.7 billion, according to a report released today by DEED. U.S. exports fell by 3% during the same period.
Serving Our Customers
On October 22, the Minnesota Trade Office will present an educational program about the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Central Europe. Businesses who attend will get the opportunity to learn how to develop trade ties with five nations in Central Europe. DEED recently made a short video highlighting Minnesota's trade history with the region.
