Training Highlights:

Personal Care Assistant & Direct Support Professional Training - October 14 at CAPI

Earn a PCA and DSP Certificate in one week!  Classes offered at CAPI Lake Street location.

Orientation: (need only attend one) October 14th or 15th from 9am to 3:30 PM

Class: October 21st – 25th from 9am to 3:30 PM

Qualifications for the training include:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Available to attend all training dates
  • Fall at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines
  • Able to pass a DHS background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

Call Center Training starting October 14 at Twin Cities R!SE

Empowered Call Center & Customer Service training starts at the Twin Cities R!SE Minneapolis office on Mon, Oct 14th. The session will run M-Thurs 9:00am-12:30pm for 5 weeks.

Qualification for the Call Center training are as follows:

  • Must be 18 yrs or older
  • Made under $25,000 within the past 12 months
  • Must be able to pass background check by employers (No felonies within past 7 yrs – misdemeanors on a case by case basis)
  • High School Diploma/GED required

Employment and Training Programs

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training

City of Minneapolis Employment and Training administers a variety of employment and training programs under the direction of the Mayor, City Council, and Minneapolis Workforce Development Board. Our programs:

  • Minneapolis Works - Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.
  • WIOA Adult - Employment and training services to eligible adults 18 and over who are looking to gain skills and employment in healthcare, IT, manufacturing, construction or administrative services.
  • Minneapolis Youth Works - Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.
  • Dislocated Worker Program - Comprehensive services for those who have lost their job through no fault of their own for adult ages 18 and older.
