Angel Tax Credit Returns To Minnesota In Hopes Of Making Minneapolis Competitive With Silicon Valley

The Angel Tax Credit is coming back to Minnesota after the program ended for a year. DEED, the state’s Department of Employment and Economic Development, is bringing it back, calling it a push to make the Twin Cities competitive with Silicon Valley.

Toppan Merrill moves St. Cloud operations to Sartell facility

Toppan Merrill announced Tuesday morning plans to grow in Central Minnesota with a 70,000-square-foot expansion to its Sartell facility. Sartell City Council approved a business subsidy Monday night to assist the company in its expansion at 300-11th Ave. E.

The Angel Tax Credit program is now part of Launch Minnesota, a new initiative to grow Minnesota’s startup ecosystem.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul metro was ranked first jobs paying a family sustaining wage by a study conducted by Greater MSP. The study compared the Twin Cities to twelve other similarly sized metro areas. Other top ratings from the study included; 2nd in the list for five year business survival rate and first for women working ages 16 to 64.
