The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is offering a free manual on how to start a family child care business. The manual is available in hard copy, CD or online. This is a 6-month paid leadership and employment-readiness program for north Minneapolis 18-24 year olds not currently in school. Up to 20 hours per week in a role such as a program aide, group leader, or tutor. Includes ongoing support and training, transportation, work clothes and referrals.

Hennepin County Office Specialist Training
A free, 6-week training focused on developing administrative skills for a position as a Hennepin County office specialist. A 2-week job shadow at Hennepin County will provide hands-on experience. Candidates should have 1.5 years of office experience.

Bridge to CNA Certification
Gain the skills and certification needed to enter the healthcare field as a Certified Nurse Assistant.

HIRED Manufacturing (CNC)
Starts in September 11th but taking applications now.  These are evening classes.  Students will get a chance to earn college credit as well as earn a metalworking certification. CAN and Clerical Healthcare Training
