Pathways Academy Applications Open Feb. 13
The Minneapolis Fire Department will take applications from men and women for a certification course in emergency medical services (EMS). The Fire Department offers the EMS Pathways Academy with Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) to train Minneapolis residents from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds as emergency medical technicians.

There is no cost to trainees. Trainees will be considered City of Minneapolis student interns and will earn $15 hourly to take this college-level course three days a week for 11-13 weeks.

Applications open February 13. Applications close February 24.

Tree Trust Now Accepting Applications
The Tree Trust Application for youth is now available. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2017.  Applicants must live in suburban Hennepin County and be 14-21 years old.  Detailed eligibility criteria and application procedures can be found on the program website.

Free Clerical Healthcare Internship Program: PPL
April 24-May 26, M-F, 8am-4pm
24 hours of Medical Terminology and Electronic Health Records instruction, along with Basic Life Support certification. A 2-week internship is also provided at one of PPL’s partner hospitals or nursing homes. Program graduates will receive a monetary award.

    Assistance finding a job for low-income, Minneapolis residents ages 18 and older.
  • Minneapolis Youth Works
    Assistance with high school completion, work preparation or employment goals for Minneapolis Youth ages 14-21.
