Wanted: Workers in Rochester
Minnesota Public Radio-12/1/16
Businesses in the Rochester area are begging for skilled trade and service workers to help build the city's present as well as its future. With the downtown Destination Medical Center project expected to add 30,000 more jobs in Rochester over the next 20 years, the problem is likely to get much worse. Some sectors, such as construction, retail and hospitality, will have to increase salaries to retain and attract workers, says DEED's Steve Hine.

Twin Cities Business-12/6/16
While overall state exports fell 2 percent in the third quarter, sales to Asia were strong, climbing 12 percent to $1.7 billion. “Minnesota businesses as a whole have long established footholds in Asian markets and have developed strong relationships with their Asian customers,” says Shane Delaney, DEED's director of communications.
