The tank manufacturer has leaders committed to expanding the company. The business has diversified its engineered-to-order tanks and has customers from pharmaceutical to biotechnology to brewing. It also has been providing extensive training and promotion opportunities to 200 employees. But for all that, Waggoner said, "We have an extremely senior and an extremely junior workforce."

Commissioners Hit the Road Lt. Gov. Smith and state agency commissioners will visit communities and businesses in western and southwestern Minnesota during a three-day bus this week. The fourth annual Commissioners on Wheels tour, scheduled for Wednesday through Friday, will focus on issues and investments related to water, energy and agriculture in Greater Minnesota. The trip will include stops in 11 communities: Worthington, Luverne, Pipestone, Marshall, Granite Falls, Willmar, Benson, Morris, Graceville, Wheaton and Moorhead.
Biomerics Expanding in Brooklyn Park Contract medical device manufacturer Biomerics LLC has announced plans to invest $6.5 million and create 120 high-paying jobs at a new facility in Brooklyn Park. The Salt Lake City-based company will lease 50,221 square feet in a new build-to-suit facility and relocate 45 current workers from an existing operation in Rogers. The company plans to hire 120 people within three years at the new plant at an average hourly wage of $32.24. DEED is supporting the project with $460,000 from the Job Creation Fund.
