As key partners in the NUWAY R.I.S.E. (Recovery In Supportive Environments) model each of you have contributed directly to client care in a system that research has demonstrated to improve overall recovery outcomes for individuals who choose to use recovery residence support during their intensive outpatient (IOP) episodes at NUWAY.

In recognition of this ongoing partnership and our mutual commitment to excellence, NUWAY is pleased to announce that we are initiating the opportunity for R.I.S.E. clients to adjust recovery housing support levels to $700.00 monthly with participating recovery residence partners beginning in the month of July 2023. Recovery residence support at the higher rate will first occur on the July 2023 statement, which will be sent for you to review on July 27 and reflect payment for the month of July.

This adjustment occurs following important changes in Minnesota’s recovery residence landscape enacted during the recent legislative session that place a range of new responsibilities on owners and operators. The new laws take effect on July 1, 2023. In response to these shifts, NUWAY is committed to providing to ongoing consultation and technical support to your organizations. Our first effort in that regard will be provision of an upcoming forum to review all legislative changes in depth.

Additionally, NUWAY will be instituting a standardized protocol to regularly update partner requirement information and launching a series of quarterly trainings to further review, explain and offer guidance in navigating provider adjustments and alignment with new legislative language. These sessions will be accessible in both live and on-demand recorded formats.

To identify as participating partner please follow these steps by end of day on Monday, July 24th, 2023:

  1. Provide a the most updated copy of your program participation document (rules, expectations signed by resident upon move-in.)
  2. Provide a copy of your locally required rental license for each address used as sober living and verification of Reasonable Accommodation (RA) status (and in St Paul, Sober Housing License) for each address - if applicable.
  3. Provide documented evidence of program insurance in the form of an ACORD insurance certificate, available from your broker at no cost upon request.
  4. Return the attached spreadsheet with list of addresses used as NUWAY recovery residence partner with number of beds and population(s) served.
  5. Sign and return the release and hold harmless agreement (Attached)
  6. Sign and return the continuing education and technical support partnership agreement (Attached)

All six of these items must be received by NUWAY for adjusted rate to apply.
