Registration is now open for the Understanding and Responding to Mass Incarceration (URMI) 2023 Conference: Youth Justice: Changing the Narrative.  

Friday, April 14 at Metro State University’s Saint Paul campus.

This daylong conference will examine the specific challenges faced by youth in the criminal legal system or at risk of involvement in it.  Topics will include the school-to-prison pipeline, the prosecution of youth as adults, historical and personal trauma, and more, along with options for response such as community prevention, restorative practices, alternatives to incarceration, and mentorship.
