This daylong conference will examine the specific challenges faced by youth in the criminal legal system or at risk of involvement in it. Topics will include the school-to-prison pipeline, the prosecution of youth as adults, historical and personal trauma, and more, along with options for response such as community prevention, restorative practices, alternatives to incarceration, and mentorship.
The annual URMI conference—now in its tenth year—is free and open to all. Space is limited; registration is required at https://urmi_2023.eventbrite.com
