Community Empowerment Session: A Focus on Community Healing
The DHS Community Relations team invites you to participate in the next Community Empowerment Session with a focus on “Community Healing”, held virtually via Webex on May 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Community Empowerment Sessions are action-oriented community conversations, designed to build authentic relationships and facilitate the process of co-creating solutions in partnership with the people we serve. By providing information and encouraging community members to share their experiences, DHS can partner with communities to identify barriers and create opportunities to better inform DHS Mental Health and Substance Use policies and programs.
In this session, you will learn about and discuss how behavioral health services can be more responsive to communities and reflect and respect people's cultures, languages, and experiences. Participate in conversations grounded in building authentic relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and acknowledgement of each person’s and community’s added value to developing solutions.
Closed captioning will be available. For any other accommodations or questions, email community.relations.dhs@state.mn.us.
