With the launch of our internship program 2 years ago, Project Turnabout (PTAB) saw an opportunity to give back to the professional development community by creating a new internship program. This internship opportunity provides young professionals a chance to grow in their academics and gain knowledge in their profession while taking part in hands-on training. As we continue to grow and strengthen our program, we actively list new internship opportunities on job listing platforms such as Facebook, Handshake, as well as our program website. Our intern opportunities at PTAB are many: Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor’s (LADC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor’s (LPCC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Registered Nurse (RN), Health Information, and Master’s level Mental Health interns.
Over the past 3 months, we have had 11 interns gaining skills and experience in Mental Health, LADC’s, and Administration departments. Our designated full-time senior staff members are licensed and experienced to work with interns and new counselors in our PTAB system of care. This one-on-one training is pertinent to the success of each intern and the continued leadership opportunities of our staff.
Our hope for each intern experience is to provide them with a modern work environment, a full continuum of care, challenging & fulfilling work, patient- centered care, knowledgeable & experienced staff, and so much more.
