With the decreased ability to deliver in-person services during the COVID-19 pandemic, workforce and training organizations have met this challenge through delivering online services. This webinar will highlight promising practices and feature organizations that have successfully used virtual platforms to deliver workforce development services to jobseekers.

Description: This webinar follows the kick-off Learning and Leading Recovery webinar held on November 18, that presented the important role the workforce system has in supporting job seekers and businesses through the economic recovery from the pandemic.

Social Determinants of Health Congressional Briefing

Please join Aligning for Health (AFH) and Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) on December 15th for a virtual congressional briefing that will highlight opportunities in the 117th Congress to support effective and innovative approaches to social determinants of health.

Social Determinants of Health (SDOHs) are the social and economic conditions – such as those in housing, employment, food security, and education – that have a major influence on individual and community health. SDOHs are receiving increased attention from insurance companies, hospitals, healthcare systems, and governmental agencies interested in improving health outcomes and controlling costs. Now more than ever, centering cross-sector, public health strategies and funding can build strong foundations for effective, long-term solutions to improve health and potentially drive down health care costs. Some recent legislation that cover some of these issues include the Social Determinants Accelerator Act of 2019 (H.R. 4004/ S. 2986) and the Improving Social Determinants of Health Act of 2020 (H.R. 6561/S. 4440)

Bold North Recovery Coach Academy and Ethics Training

Training Location: Online
Participants must attend all 6 days and complete all pre and post assignments to meet the educational requirements for certification.

Training cost: $650.00 which includes a $150.00 non-refundable deposit. Payments must be received no later than December 21, 2020.
