This class combines our nationally-recognized Creative Job Search platform and adds special strategies, unique to the ex-offender, for addressing and overcoming barriers to employment, including how, when, & why to disclose your record, addressing concerns from employers, answering tough interview questions, WOTC, and Federal Bonding programs, and “Ban the Box” concerns.

Job Announcement: Corrections Reentry Technician, Reentry West 

RS EDEN is currently seeking ON-CALL Reentry Technicians for its men’s Residential Reentry Program (Reentry West) located in St. Paul. The Reentry Technician is responsible for directly supervising justice involved persons’ actions and movements, thus assuring that all program rules and regulations are followed in a 32-bed residential reentry community correctional facility. He/she informally guides and supports residents and acts as the ongoing contact for residents. The Reentry Technician is responsible for maintaining accountability and a positive atmosphere that promotes client motivation and change. Based upon agency needs, the Reentry Technician will also be responsible for completing various duties for nonresidential clients.

Housing Stabilization Services for Corrections Partners

Housing Stabilization Services is a new, state plan Medicaid benefit available for people with disabilities and seniors to plan for, find, and keep housing. People who are justice-involved may benefit from Housing Stabilization Services to increase long-term stability. This webinar, cohosted by the Departments of Human Services and Corrections, is designed specifically for corrections professionals and community partners that engage with justice-involved individuals in order to help them understand what Housing Stabilization Services is, how it could benefit people served, and what their role is in helping people access the service.

MDVA has many Financial Assistance Grants for COVID-19 Relief

On March 26, 2020, the Minnesota State Legislature voted to fund a special appropriation to assist Veterans who may be financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 Specific Programs have been activated specifically in response to mitigate the economic effects COVID-19 is having on our Veterans and their families. These programs can close at any time without notice due to the exhaustion of approved funding. Status updates will be posted here regarding the status of these programs. All of the grants are awarded on a first come, first serve basis, and the amount of grants awarded is limited to the length of existing funding.

Recovery Coach Academy

Training Dates / Times: January 25th thru January 30th / 11am to 4pm

Training Location: Online
Participants must attend all 6 days and complete all pre and post assignments to meet the educational requirements for certification.

Training cost: $650.00 which includes a $150.00 non-refundable deposit. Payments must be received no later than September 4, 2020. This class will be limited to 20 participants and is on a first come, first serve basis. This training will fill up quickly.
