COVID-19 Emergency Grant Application

This open call period begins on April 22nd and will close on May 6. Grant sizes will range from $5,000 to $10,000. Organizations will be notified about grant status by May 15th, 2020.

Eligibility:

• Grants will only be awarded to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
• Funding will only be award to organizations working in the Twin Cities seven-county metropolitan area.
• Grant sizes will range from $5,000 to $10,000.
• In addition to programming costs, organizations can also apply for general operating funds to support costs related to modifying service delivery models, technology, or filling gaps from lost revenues.
• Organizations must be serving families or individuals from vulnerable populations living below 185% of the federal poverty line.

Survey for Governor’s Social Distancing Work Group

In the ongoing response to COVID-19, the state of Minnesota has established targeted work groups to assist the State Emergency Operation Center in developing reportable goals, metrics, and workplans to respond to the various challenges posed by the disease, its spread, and its diverse impact on all Minnesotans. The Social Distancing work group is developing short- and long-term strategies to help Minnesotans stay safe and healthy while working to enable more social and economic activity.

We’re tackling this question through a variety of approaches, including a Human-Centered Design methodology – one that puts people at the center of the problem solving process. This method allows us to better understand the impacts of social distancing, new norms and practices, and governmental guidelines on not only organizations and businesses, but on the people we all serve.

As we seek insights and feedback from across Minnesota to inform our work, we invite you to take this approximately 15 minute survey through Survey Monkey. We will be releasing this survey to leaders representing organizations across the state (businesses, nonprofits, places of worship, community organizations, etc.) We’re asking that you complete the survey by May 8 for our first round of analysis but will keep the survey open to continuously collect community input.

Virtual Training Week

Virtual Workshops: Monday, May 4, 202 to Thursday, May 7, 2020 9:00 am to 3:00pm (CDT)
Virtual Matchmaking: Friday, May 8, 2020, 9:00 am to 11:30am (CDT)

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we've altered the 21st Annual SADBOC Government Procurement Fair into a week of virtual workshops and matchmaking. This is our effort to make the planned workshops available to you while we continue to socially distance.
The workshop schedule and links to participate are included on the Program Agenda located here. Some organizations are still setting up their virtual classrooms. We will update this program as new links come in. We will also email the final program to all who have registered through Eventbrite.
Please read through the workshop descriptions and attend as many as you like. These workshops are all free, just like at the SADBOC fair.
For some of the workshops, there is a registration link that you can use prior to the workshop, for others, there is a link to a training room that you can log into at the time of the class.
As we have 14 different organizations providing this training, some of the formats are going to be different. We hope you can be flexible and understanding.
We all feel strongly about the importance of the SADBOC Government Procurement Fair to small business and hope that this Virtual Training Week will have some benefit to you. Your business is important to the success of our procuring agencies and prime contractors.
