SOTP Quarter Break Job Interviewing Class

When: Friday, September 27th, 2019
Time: 11:45 am – 4:00 pm
Where: MCF – Lino Lakes, Sex Offender Treatment Program
Why: To assist SOTP offenders preparing for release to improve/develop job interviewing skills
Who: Anyone with experience in hiring / conducting job interviews and/or helping offenders prepare for a successful release

It’s that time again that the MCF-Lino Lakes Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) is preparing for quarter break and the quarterly Job Interviewing Class. We are looking for volunteers to conduct practice mock interviews for the offenders to work on their interviewing skills in preparation of their release. This is a great way to take a break from your normal work routine and provide offenders with the practice they need to seek employment.
We are scheduled to have our class for the practice/mock job interviews on the afternoon of Friday, September 27th. This starts with a Thank You luncheon & orientation for the volunteers at 11:45am (in J-3/Carver). At 1:00 we will gather with the SOTP offenders for an overview and then the rest of the afternoon (until 3:45) will be spent in doing mock interviews with the offenders and providing them with valuable feedback on their interview strengths and ways in which they can improve their interviewing skills.
Let me know that you are interested and available by 9/15/19 by email -Uyanga.Bayandalai@state.mn.us (this allows time for getting the security paperwork done on time). If you are not a DOC employee, I need you to send a photo copy (pictures taken from phones or scanned images work the best, faxed images of copies often are not clear enough) of your driver’s license with your RSVP (if you came in March or July, you don’t need to send it again). Then just show up on 9/27/19 between 11:30 & 11:45 at the MCF-LL main lobby and check in.
