Sex Offender Treatment Program Quarter Break Job Interviewing Class

When: Friday, March 29th, 2019                                                                                                         Time: 11:45 am – 4:00 pm                                                                                                               Where: MCF – Lino Lakes, Sex Offender Treatment Program

MCF-Lino Lakes Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) is preparing for quarter break and the quarterly Job Interviewing Class. We are looking for volunteers to conduct practice mock interviews for the offenders to work on their interviewing skills in preparation of their release. This is a great way to take a break from your normal work routine and provide the men in our program who will be releasing within the next three – nine months with the practice they need to seek employment.

Class for the practice/mock job interviews will be on the afternoon of Friday, March 29th. This starts with a Thank You luncheon & orientation for the volunteers at 11:45am (in J-3/Carver). At 1:00 we will gather with the SOTP offenders for an overview and then the rest of the afternoon (until 3:45) will be spent in doing mock interviews with the program participants and providing them with valuable feedback on their interview strengths and ways in which they can improve their interviewing skills.

Please let Mary Cardinal know that you are interested and available by 3/22/19 (this allows time for getting the security paperwork done on time). If you are not a DOC employee, send a photo copy (pictures taken from phones or scanned images work the best) of your driver’s license with your RSVP. Then just show up on 3/29/19 between 11:30 & 11:45 at the MCF-LL main lobby and check in.

Send an email if you are interested  - Mary.Cardinal@state.mn.us
