Spring road restrictions have lifted, which means you may soon notice fiber installation crews returning to work in parts of Chanhassen. These are private utility projects, not city projects, but city staff continue to review permits, monitor work and assist residents when needed. We appreciate your patience as this work continues to expand service options in the community.

Infiltration and Inflow Grant Available to Residents
Many cities and towns around the U.S., including Chanhassen, have sanitary sewer systems that are reaching their life expectancy and are now in need of major repairs. The City of Chanhassen has a Grant Program aimed at addressing Infiltration and Inflow (I/I) issues on private properties within the community. This initiative, funded by the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES), provides financial support to eligible homeowners for vital repairs and improvements to their sanitary service lines and foundation drains.
The grant program for I/I mitigation is designed to:
-
Reduce I/I issues on private properties
-
Preserve environmental quality
-
Maintain efficient sanitary service lines
-
Enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the region's wastewater system
To learn more about the I/I grant program or to start an application, click more information below.

Pioneer Trail bridge construction began Wednesday, April 29, as Hennepin County reconstructs the bridge between Settlement Drive and Highview Drive in partnership with the City of Eden Prairie. Chanhassen residents who travel through the area should plan for detours, as vehicle traffic will be rerouted until the project is completed in fall 2026 using Eden Prairie Road, Flying Cloud Drive and Great Plains Boulevard. Trail users should also be aware of intermittent closures and posted detours along the Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Regional Trail.
Residents can find full project details and detour information on the Hennepin County project website, or click the button below.
The Chanhassen Parks & Recreation Department is excited to offer an additional Lake Ann Adventure Camp this summer.
