As you’re cleaning out your storage this spring, hang on to unneeded yard tools and gardening items and bring them to the Tool Swap! Whether you’re a first-time gardener or a seasoned green thumb, all are welcome at this event. This free event allows gardeners and yard owners to exchange tools, equipment and materials.
- All items are intended to be given and taken freely. Tools and items are not for sale.
- You do not need to bring items to participate.
- You can drop off your usable items and leave. You do not need to stay on site for the entire event.
Items to bring: Garden/yard tools (shovels, rakes, hoses, pitchforks, etc.), garden art and décor, birdhouses and feeders, pots and planters (free of any soil), potting soil and mix (unused, bagged), gardening and plant books.
Please do not bring: Chemicals (fertilizer, pesticides, etc.), mower or power tools, contractor-grade pots, plants, broken items, used soil or dirt, or items too large to carry.

 Phase 2 Road Work on 78th St., Market Blvd. & Laredo Dr.
Utility work supporting the Roers Apartments project will continue to impact travel in the 78th Street/Market Blvd/Laredo Drive area. Construction has moved to phase 2.
Things to note for Phase 2:
- Westbound 78th remains closed, extending the closure area through Laredo Dr.
- The north half of Laredo Drive at 78th Street will also be closed.

Get ready for the Friends of the Chanhassen Library's annual spring book sale! This is a great opportunity to find good deals on gently used books (and more) for all ages. New teachers: Ask about the new teacher discount.
The sale runs Thursday, April 23 from 4-8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, April 26 from 1-4 p.m. On Sunday, everything is marked at $5 per bag. Monday, April 27 is FREE day from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. where you can help yourself to books remaining from the sale.
Proceeds from the book sale directly support the Chanhassen Library's programs, collection and furnishings. Donations are accepted during open hours at the Chanhassen Library.

 Whether you are just starting or already transforming your entire yard, this workshop provides the tools and resources you need to build a flourishing native garden. Join us for the second workshop on native plant design on April 22 at the Chanhassen Recreation Center. Coaching will be available in 1-hour sessions between 4-8 p.m.
