The Dos and Don’ts of E-Bikes
As the weather warms up, so, too, does biking season and we want to remind you of the e-bike rules and restrictions in Chanhassen. To get a quick refresher on what is required for an e-bike to be legal — and what the different classes of e-bikes are — watch this video from our resident expert, "Professor Zoromski."
And remember: not all of these “bikes” are legal for unlicensed drivers, as this useful Facebook post reminds us. And operators of legal e-bikes must be at least 15 years old.
Let’s all work together to keep summer riding safe and fun for everyone. Learn more about e-bikes, best practices and safety rules on our e-bike resource page.

Highway 41 & Bavaria Rd. Closures Begin April 6
Highway 41 between Highway 5 and Tanadoona Drive and Bavaria Road between Highway 5 and Highway 18 (Lyman Boulevard) will close on Monday, April 6, through mid-summer 2026.
On the same day, the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 11 on the west side of downtown Victoria will also close as part of the Downtown West (Highway 5/11) Improvement Project.
Heads up before that: As of March 23, the right turn from westbound Highway 5 onto northbound Highway 41 is closed for trail work, with northbound traffic directed to use Rolling Acres Road (Highway 13) for at least one week.
Plan ahead, use alternate routes, and allow for extra time during your commute.
For more details on access routes, visit Carver County's Highway 5 Improvement Project page. In addition, any project-related questions can be sent to info@hwy5improvements.org or 952-491-9373.

Join the fun and adventure through Chanhassen parks!
The Gnomadic Gnome is a program designed to get people out into their community (and possibly into parts of Chanhassen they have never visited before) and to provide some education on the nature of our area. The program runs from Earth Day (April 22) until Summer Solstice (June 21). Rules and prizes vary by year, so stay tuned for this spring's Eco-adventure.
