The city’s 2025 Stormwater Pond Maintenance Project is underway. Construction crews will remove accumulated sediment and make necessary infrastructure repairs to ensure the city’s stormwater ponds continue to function properly.
Residents near project sites may notice temporary access activity this winter. As ponds are dewatered beginning in early January, ice conditions can change rapidly and may become unsafe. For this reason, residents should avoid active stormwater ponds during construction.

Hennepin County, in partnership with the City of Eden Prairie, will be working on a project to reconstruct the Pioneer Trail Bridge (between Settlement Drive and Highview Drive) beginning in April of this year. They will be hosting an open house to share information about the project, detour routes for drivers and bikers and what individuals can expect during construction. The open house will be on Thursday, January 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Eden Prairie City Center (8080 Mitchell Road). There will be no formal presentation, so individuals are welcome to stop by at any time.
This project will be fully conducted by Hennepin County and the City of Eden Prairie, but construction may affect Chanhassen residents.
