Hello Chanhassen Residents,
I hope this email finds you well! It is hard to believe the 4th of July is right around the corner. Summer goes quickly, but I hope next week allows time for family and friends as we celebrate our great nation.
Chanhassen 4th of July Celebration
Our biggest community event of the year takes place next week on July 2,3,4. With activities and events for all ages and interests, we hope that you enjoy this special time. A big thank you to our city staff for the countless hours of hard work and to our incredible sponsors and community partners for your involvement and support. For information on events, including the new parade route, please visit our website.
Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center
I am excited to share with you a comprehensive view into the proposed Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center. Please take time to review the information as it addresses many of the questions we have heard from you. Throughout the summer there will be multiple ways to engage, learn more, and provide feedback. As a reminder, this project will be a referendum question on the November 5th ballot.
Lake Ann Park Preserve
Progress is being made! Our contractors are hard at work building boardwalks into the Lake Ann Park preserve. We are building over 500 feet of boardwalk to enter this beautiful parkland which is adjacent to Lake Ann and Lake Lucy. All boardwalks are scheduled to be completed by August 30th. Full trail buildout will be completed by 2025.
Road Projects
I know road projects can be frustrating and inconvenient, so on behalf of the city, thank you for your patience with the weather delays, truck noise, dust and detours. Our teams are working hard to manage the requests and complaints, as well as keep on schedule despite the rain delays. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Engineering Department at 952-227-1160.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th of July. I do believe that we live in the best country in the world – God Bless the USA!
Warmest Regards,
Elise Ryan
