On Monday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m, City Council will be considering a Preliminary Plat and Site Plan request for the Market Street Addition and redevelopment of the Chanhassen Cinema & Hotel, and consider a Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment Financing District No. 13.
- On Tuesday, February 20, the Planning Commission held a Public Hearing and approved (7-0) the Roers Companies redevelopment project to move forward for City Council consideration.

Scam Alert
I know we hear often about various scams, but I was targeted this week, so I wanted to share this personal experience.
- These people are good. They had real names of Carver County Sheriff’s Deputies and Chaska Police Officers. They had the correct name of a Carver County Judge who was overseeing my “contempt of court” for “missing jury duty." They were well-versed in the court processes using citation and badge numbers, and accurate Carver County government addresses. They asked me to repeat what I was hearing to confirm my understanding. The experience was surreal.
- I luckily asked to be transferred to our Chanhassen Lieutenant, and at that point, they hung up.
- I did file a police report and submitted the phone number that was used, which, to no surprise, was immediately was untraceable.
- Points to remember per the Carver County Sheriff’s Office
- If you are unsure, hang up. The police will call back if it's important. In the meantime, you can call the non-emergency number to verify: 952.361.1231.
- I repeat, hang up. It seems unconciousble to hang up, but do.
- If this scam, or any scam happens, don’t be embarrassed. Call the police and file a report. You could be the difference.
Stay safe and enjoy the weekend. And for those hockey fans out there, Go Storm!
Warmest Regards,
Elise Ryan
