Median Work Resumed at Highway 17 and West 78th Street

Median and ADA ramp replacements are underway at the intersection of Highway 17 (Powers Boulevard) and West 78th Street, just north of Highway 5 in Chanhassen. Lane closures are expected through late May as crews work to finish the project.

Highway 11 Construction Update: Access to Carver Park Reserve

Pipe work continues on Highway 11 near Wisteria Street. Carver Park Reserve remains accessible from the north. Visitors can access the nature center, campground, singletrack and horse trails, archery range, and boat ramp. The boat ramp is open until May 19.  Access to Humility Alliance is available from the south via Highway 5. Visit the Highway 11 project page for the latest construction updates.

Highways 11 and 14 Intersection Closed for Construction

The intersection of highways 11 and 14 is closed through early July for roundabout construction. Crews are removing pavement and relocating utilities.

A signed detour uses Shady Oak Drive and Highways 10, 11, and 43. Visit the project page for details.

Highway 40 Improvements Progressing Near Belle Plaine

Crews are actively working on the Highway 40 Project north of the Minnesota River to enhance safety and improve road conditions. Current activities include grading shoulders and ditches, paving, striping, and driveway reconnections. A signed detour is in place using Highways 25, 14, 53, and 52. Work is expected to be completed this summer.

Storm Sewer and Utility Work Ongoing at Highway 10 and Bavaria Road

Storm sewer, grading, and water main work continues at Highway 10/Engler Boulevard and Bavaria Road. Crews are pouring curbs and advancing resurfacing efforts on the west end of the project.

Water main installation will begin east of Royal Oak Drive next week. Milling will create rough pavement for a short time. View detours and construction updates on the project page.

82nd Street Reconstruction Travel Reminder

82nd Street is closed to through traffic between Bavaria Road and Highway 41. Access is limited to residents, deliveries, and emergency services only. Please avoid driving through the work zone or turning around in private driveways. Use alternate routes as construction continues through fall 2025. Bridge Deck Poured for Highway 51 Overpass on Highway 212

Crews completed the concrete deck pour for the new Highway 51 bridge west of Cologne on May 6. The bridge will carry traffic over Highway 212 and is expected to open in late 2025.
