Carver County Parks,
Libraries, & Historical Society invite you and your family to attend the
annual Maple Syrup Open House at Baylor
Regional Park on Saturday, March 18th from 10am-1pm with active
story time beginning at 11am. No registration or parking permit required, FREE event!
Visitors will experience the magic (and science!) of maple syrup from start to
finish during our interactive tours. Hike to the ‘sugar bush’ to tap a tree, visit the ‘syrup shack’ to see the evaporation process, and (of course!) taste the final product over ice cream! The Historical Society will provide maple syrup themed activities inside the historic barn.
Come prepared for a walk along the Maple Trail to the
sugar bush if you want to help tap a tree… it can be muddy this time of year!
