Ryder Cup needs Recycling Volunteers

Recycling Volunteers Needed! September 27th – October 2nd
The PGA will be hosting the 2016 Ryder Cup competition at Hazeltine National Golf Club this year in Chaska, Minnesota. The number of people on-site is expected to range from 40,000 and 50,000 people per day over the course of the 6 day event. In an effort to promote a healthy environment and reduce the total volume of trash generated, PGA staff will be working with Carver County in implementing recycling and compostable organics collection at all key concession locations throughout the course.
We are looking for volunteers willing to share their knowledge and assist in the waste prevention efforts at the Ryder Cup.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
7:00AM-1:00PM or 1:00-7:00PM (all shifts include a 30 minute break)
Volunteers will be responsible for: Assisting and educating event goers as they approach the waste stations AND Monitoring bins for contamination
All volunteers will get free entrance into the Ryder Cup, and receive a shirt identifying them as volunteers.

Carver County Environmental Services and PGA officials will be offering a mandatory training session in September to educate the volunteers staffing the event.
