M.E.A. YOUTH CAMPS
October 15th & 16th, 2015
Make the most of your child’s MEA time this fall with our Outdoor Recreation Camps at Baylor & Lake Minnewashta Regional Parks! Campers will be exploring the park and developing new skills in activities such as archery, shelter building, and survival during this 1/2 day camp experience! Carver Co. Parks’ staff will create a safe, fun, & exciting team atmosphere for your child’s morning adventure.

Get ready for cross-country ski and snowshoe season by purchasing your annual parks vehicle permit today!
A big thanks goes out to our park users who have purchased their annual parks vehicle permit this year! Your permit is valid at Anoka, Washington, and Carver County Regional Parks. If you still need one, there are a few ways to purchase: purchase online, stop by the Chaska or Chanhassen Service Centers, call the Parks Office, or purchase at the Honor Boxes or Gate Houses located at each of our park entrances.

12th Annual Chili Cook-Off Event
Welcome to the 12th Year for the Chili Cook-Off at Baylor Regional Park, NYA on Saturday, October 10th! A long-standing tradition, this event draws some of the best local chili cooks around for a weekend of camping chili competition. Only those who register to compete in this chili extravaganza will be able to sample their competitor's chili recipes!
Register to enter your chili in advance (or day-of) for $15 per entry. Recreational try-it stations will be available for $5/person to learn archery and try slacklining. It's an all-around great weekend to be at Baylor Regional Park, stop in and say hello!

Lake Waconia/Coney Island Regional Park
- We want your input!-
Mid-August the Carver County Board approved the contract with WSB Consulting to work with Parks Staff on a very exciting planning & development process for Lake Waconia Regional Park. On the 25th of August we held a very successful Open House event and WSB has been at the park connecting with people. There is much work to be done, visions to be heard and ideas to be discussed. We're seeking any & all input!
