Thank You for Completing Your Individual Development Plan
Thank you to everyone who completed or updated their Individual Development Plan (IDP). Between Jan. 1 and Oct. 3 of this year 354 people identified over 2,200 technical training needs in their IDPs. A summary of the training needs identified statewide can be found on the 2025 IDP Results page.
What happens next? Throughout October and November this information will be reviewed by your Area Technical Training Team (ATTT) to determine the local training priorities. Those priorities will then be compiled at the state level and used to develop the training plan for 2026.
Didn’t complete your IDP or have new training needs? Communicate your technical training needs directly to your ATTT and add them to your IDP today. We regularly pull updated information from the IDP tool and use it for direct email advertisement when applicable trainings are being held, so there is a lot of value in keeping your IDP up to date throughout the year!

Tyler's Three Things: Conservation Planner Certification
Conservation Planner Level 1 Certification training is available entirely online, and it prepares newer planners to assist customers with developing a plan for their operation.
Conservation Planner Level 2 Certification includes the weeklong Conservation Planning Course, and it aids specialists (e.g. forester) to develop conservation plans on a specific land use.
Conservation Planner Level 3 Certification, often referred to as “Certified Conservation Planner,” signifies a person’s ability to write conservation plans on all land uses to address a wide range of resource concerns in their work area.
