CITY OF BURNSVILLE OUTDOOR ICE RINKS, WARMING HOUSES OPEN TODAY AT 4 P.M.

Burnsville’s outdoor skating rinks and warming houses will officially open for skating today at 4 p.m.  Burnsville has 13 park locations that offer outdoor skating. Warming houses are located at 12 sites (West Buck Hill offers a pleasure rink only).

Regular hours are:

  • Monday - Friday:    4 - 9 p.m.
  • Saturday:                 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Sunday:                    1 - 9 p.m.

During open hours, the rink lights are on and the facilities are supervised by City staff (with the exception of the rink at West Buck Hill). No hockey or broomball games are allowed unless specified. Wednesday nights are designated as "Open Hockey" nights.

On a weekend with heavy snow, the staffed outdoor skating rinks will close after one inch or more of snow has accumulated. Warming houses will close when temperatures and/or wind chill reach negative 19 degrees or colder.
