Clubhouse Connections
Birnamwood Golf Course opened on April 1, 2019. The course came through the winter relatively unscathed. Greens are in very good condition for April, but the fairways have some minor winterkill and traffic damage.
Changes on the Course After a recommendation from the Burnsville Forestry Department, three box elder trees were removed along the right side of the fairway of Hole 7. The look of the hole changed dramatically after two days of cutting and the removal of several loads of timber. The tee box and fairway sustained some damage during the project.
Birnamwood staff will be working to fix the damage as soon as weather allows. Repair work on other fairways that sustained ice damage over the winter is also on the schedule.
League Play Adult Summer League registration closed on April 25. There are five leagues that play Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. The turnout is exciting and staff is looking forward to a great golf league season.
Join Up for the Junior Golf Program Birnamwood hosts a Junior Golf program that begins in June and runs into early August. The program is open to students in grades 3-10. No previous golf experience required! Sign up today!
Course Tips
It’s never too early to use sunscreen. Your golf outing can be the first time your face and arms have been exposed to the sun since last October! Lather up with that SPF 30 and come hit the links.

Birnamwood Beauty
The first sign of spring at Birnamwood is the daffodil. The shoots usually begin to appear well before the greens begin to change color. The daffodil symbolizes rebirth and new beginning and usually last up to six weeks.
