Governor Walz's budget includes investments for the Minnesota Board of Social Work
The Governor’s “One Minnesota” Budget for FY 2020-FY2021 (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2021) will provide the Board of Social Work the necessary resources to maintain current core public safety services, ensure fiscal stability, and create strategic investments to improve our effectiveness and ensure efficient and accountable services to all those we serve.
Governor Walz’s budget will allow the Board to increase its effectiveness to promote One Minnesota by:
Maintaining current services with an operating adjustment for nondiscretionary MN.IT Centralized technology services, office rent, brochures and educational materials, staffing costs
Enhancing licensing database and online services
Converting licensing records from microfilm to digital format
Establishing critical fee change
Thanks to Governor Walz’s support of BOSW strategic investments in his “One Minnesota” budget, as we continue over 30 years of public service to all Minnesotans.
