Masks are Still Required for Dental Settings

Mask Requirement for HealthCare

Settings is Still in Effect - May 18, 2021

Per the recent changes in CDC guidance and state requirements for the general public, optional masking protocols for vaccinated individuals do not apply to healthcare settings.

CDC has not changed interim dental guidance at this time or in response to other CDC changes.

MDH does not plan on issuing changes for healthcare settings in response to the mask changes for the general public.

Board rules require compliance with current CDC guidelines.

If CDC dental guidance is updated in the coming months, licensees will receive a notice from the MN Board of Dentistry indicating the changes and updates to facility plans.
