Current construction projects

2015-201 East Bush Lake Rd Westbound Ramp to I-494

The contractor continues to work on the retaining walls. Beginning the week of February 12, the contractor will begin constructing the “crash wall” around the median pier.

2015-801 & 2017-803 Alpha 5 & Interstate Diesel Demolition Project

The contractor has begun demolition of 2501 American Blvd and will continue the week of February 12. This building does not contain pellet insulation like the other structures, so it does not require special phasing to limit the spread of debris. The contractor continues to wait for a low wind day to remove the outside walls of the other buildings.

2016-204 Old Cedar Avenue Trail/2017-101 PMP Old Cedar Avenue /2015-203 Old Cedar Trailhead

Tree removal to facilitate Xcel Energy temporary relocation of the power lines to safely construct a retaining wall is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13. The power line relocation will occur in March 2018.

2017-902 Pond Maintenance Project

The continued cold temperatures are allowing good progress on the sediment excavation and allowing favorable truck hauling operations. The haul routes (Hampshire Ave. and W. Old Shakopee Rd.) are being monitored for traffic and mud tracking issues. The project should stay on schedule for the majority of work to be complete by the end of February, with minor work and restoration to be completed by late spring.

2018-101 PMP Street Improvement Project

The public hearing for the addition of 87 ½ Street and Oakland Avenue to the 2018-101 PMP Project is scheduled for February 12.
