Set our community apart by working with your neighbors to make Bloomington dementia-friendly. Attend this free one-hour informational session to learn about this worldwide movement, living with dementia, and the simple things you can do to support someone living with the disease.
Join the Bloomington Human Services and Public Health Divisions for this upcoming training on dementia Thursday, December 7, 12 - 1 p.m. in Rehearsal Hall at Bloomington Civic Plaza.
This training will be led by Dementia Friends Champions.

It's that time of year again! Looking for winter or holiday gifts? Visit the Creekside Boutique's booth at the Bloomington Indoor Farmers Market Saturday, December 9, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Bloomington Civic Plaza.
If you're not available to attend the Indoor Farmers Market, consider swinging by Creekside Community Center to stop by the Boutique during their holiday hours.
Made by local residents, the Creekside Boutique offers a wide variety of handcrafted items for sale. Open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. and Tuesdays, 5 - 7 p.m.
Holiday Hours (November 4 - December 23) Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Stop by Creekside Community Center Wednesday, December 13, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for the monthly Fare For All distribution.
Fare For All provides packages of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as frozen meat items. There are no qualifications or income restrictions. Pay with cash, credit, or EBT.
Packages:
- Produce package ($10) - typically includes 5 varieties of fresh vegetables and two varieties of fresh fruits
- Mini meat pack ($11) - a minimum of four assorted meat items (3 - 5 lbs), does not include pork
- Combo pack ($20) - save an extra $1 by combining the produce and mini meat packs
- Mega meat pack ($25) - typically includes 7 - 9 meat items
Featured holiday pack ($30) includes:
- Spiral ham (7-9 lbs)
- Whole chicken (5 lbs)
- Roasted chicken wings (1 lb)
- Garlic herb chicken (9 oz)
- Mixed vegetables (32 oz)
- Meatballs (22 oz)
- Dutch Apple Pie

Looking for a way to give back this holiday season? Bloomington Human Services is partnering with Home Instead Senior Care for the Be A Santa For A Senior program. This program helps provide holiday gifts for seniors and persons with disabilities during the holiday.
Volunteers are needed Saturday, December 16, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Creekside Community Center to help wrap hundreds of gifts that have been donated. Bring family, friends, and neighbors and help spread the holiday spirit!
